2014 F & F Garden‏

Hello Faith & Food Garden Volunteers!  It's Year #4 for our Garden!

It’s that time of year again when folks are planting, tending or enjoying new growth in our outdoor environment.  Your garden organizers (Barb, Cathy & De Anna) have met and looked at the calendar for this year’s planting schedule for our Faith and Food Garden.

We discussed the best plants to grow per Food Gatherer’s needs and our garden’s success over the last three years.  It was decided to increase the number of tomato plants, stay with the peas, beans, squash and carrots and drop the kale and collards. (To take advantage of the cool weather crop period, Barb and Cathy did get the peas planted a couple weeks ago and the recent rain has been good for to them.)

Our First Workday is May 31st at 9:30am
·    We will be planting the summer crops. Any and all are most welcome to join us.

From the time we first plant until the harvesting is completed in the fall, we will need people to water and weed and harvest. We will have a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall, following both services, beginning this coming Sunday.

Thanks, look forward to see you in the garden and have a blessed week,
Cathy
