It's that time of year when gardeners get excited, get their hands dirty and look forward to the blessings God bestows on us with the harvesting of His produce. For our first two years participating in Faith and Food Gardens, our church was able to donate over 890 pounds of produce to Food Gatherers for people in our community!
We want to welcome De Anna Stephenson to the planning team this year. She is working on the Bulletin Board and helping to gather information from you for the Garden Calendar this year.
Like the last two years, from the time we first plant until the harvesting is completed in the fall, we will need people to water, weed, harvest and deliver the produce to Food Gatherers. If you are willing and able, you will be able to sign up for a week or more on the sheet posted on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall, or you can contact De Anna by email to sign up. Also, the schedule will be posted on the church website, in the calendar section under garden.
As noted in the church Bulletin, Our Garden Planting Work Day is planned for this Saturday, June 1st
- Planting the summer crops - tomatoes, squash, carrots & beans
- Planting the flower containers & marigolds
