Garden Helpers 

• The VZs tended the garden last week.
• They delivered 1# of peas to Food Gathers.
• This week, the Okonkwos will tend the garden.

Food Gatherers: pounds delivered

• So far, 8# of produce has been delivered to Food Gatherers. 
• Reminder: If you pick food from our garden and are unable to deliver it to Food Gatherers because they are closed, refrigerate the food and take it in the next day they are open.  Each person is responsible for taking the food they gather to Food Gatherers.  Thank you.

Garden Schedule 

Yea, our garden schedule is now completed for this year's growing season!  The remaining week will be tended by the Kessler family.

New & Old News

1. Faith and Food Garden Sign:  I did not receive any responses from the Faith & Food group, so I spoke to Larry Gruppen, who works with wood, and he agreed to take a look at our sign.  He suggested we remove the polyurethane and replace it with stain or paint.  I deferred to his judgement and asked that he choose the easiest to maintain.  Thank you Larry for agreeing to refurbish the garden sign.
2. Garden Gate Door: Something is chewing away at the wood where the top and bottom sections meet.  It is noticeable when you open the door and look at the end.  I watched for a bit, but did not see any ants or bees coming and going.  Please keep an eye on this and notify me if you discover who are the intruders.  Thanks!

•  Please turn the water on and off at the church spigot.
