I had the pleasure of picking snap peas with Jean this past week.  

  7 lbs. of peas were delivered to Food Gatherers!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting with Jenelle Newman and Jean Bernard yesterday at the garden.  They are joining us in this cause and learning what to do to tend a garden.  

We thank Wayne for erecting the supports for the pole beans we planted this year.  We just need to add the twine for the beans to climb up.

Faith & Food Garden News 6/1/13‏

AACRC Faith & Food Friends,

Work Day Garden Planters

•   Barb and Goddy Okonkwo, Audrey Stob, De Anna Stephenson,   Marie Shaffer and I had a wonderful morning planting the Faith and  Food Garden. We planted tomatoes, squash, peas, carrots, marigolds and the flowers in the whiskey barrels.  The weather was perfect and we enjoyed each others stories.  A good time was had by all.

•   Cathy Green will tend the garden this week. We need someone for the following week.

•   There are many weeks open to sign up to tend the garden! If you have a week in mind, the sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall, you may see the open weeks on the church website,    or you may email De Anna Stephenson with the week you have in mind.
